Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SVazTech.net (the "Site") or submitting a profile to the directory, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit a profile.
2. Who May Use the Directory
The SVazTech.net directory is intended for:
- Individuals who self-identify as Azerbaijani or Azerbaijani-American.
- Technology and IT professionals working or based in the San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley region.
By submitting a profile, you represent that you meet these criteria.
3. Profile Submissions
3a. Accuracy of Information
You represent and warrant that all information you submit is truthful, accurate, and up to date. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or impersonating information.
3b. Ownership and License
You retain ownership of any content you submit (name, bio, professional information). By submitting, you grant SVazTech.net a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute your submitted profile information on the Site for the purpose of operating the directory.
This license terminates when your profile is removed from the directory, either at your request or at our discretion.
3c. Prohibited Content
You may not submit content that:
- Is false, fabricated, or impersonates another person.
- Contains offensive, discriminatory, or harassing language.
- Includes confidential business information belonging to an employer.
- Violates any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Is intended to spam, advertise, or solicit other directory members.
4. Approval and Removal
All submissions are subject to manual review. SVazTech.net reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:
- Approve or reject any profile application without providing a reason.
- Remove any approved profile at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, inaccurate information, or at the submitter's request.
- Edit profile content for formatting, grammar, or length while preserving factual accuracy.
Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the directory.
5. Profile Removal Requests
You may request removal of your profile at any time by emailing hello@svaztech.net with the subject line "Remove My Profile." We will process removal requests within 7 business days.
6. No Endorsement
Inclusion in the SVazTech.net directory does not constitute an endorsement by SVazTech.net of any individual, their employer, products, services, or professional qualifications. The directory is provided for informational and community networking purposes only.
7. No Employment or Partnership Relationship
These Terms do not create an employment, contractor, partnership, or joint venture relationship between you and SVazTech.net.
8. Visitor Use of the Directory
Visitors to the directory may browse and use profile information for lawful personal or professional networking purposes. Visitors may not:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy directory data using automated tools.
- Use directory data to build competing services or products.
- Contact directory members for unsolicited commercial purposes ("spam").
- Redistribute or publish directory data in bulk without written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and directory are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SVazTech.net does not warrant that:
- Profile information is accurate, current, or complete.
- The Site will be available without interruption or error.
- LinkedIn or other linked profiles belong to the individual named.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SVazTech.net and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or the directory. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed $0, as this is a free community service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SVazTech.net and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your submitted profile content.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted to the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
