1. Who We Are
SVazTech.net ("we," "us," or "our") is a community directory for Azerbaijani-American technology professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley. We are operated as a community project.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information you choose to submit through our directory application form:
- Public profile data — First name, last name, job title, company, years of experience, specialty tags, bio, LinkedIn URL, and city. This information is displayed publicly on the directory.
- Private contact data — Email address. This is stored securely and is never displayed publicly or shared with other directory visitors.
- Consent record — A timestamp confirming you agreed to these terms at the time of submission.
- Submitted date — Automatically recorded when you submit the form.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics services that collect personal data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To display your public profile in the SVazTech.net directory (after manual approval).
- To contact you about your application status or directory-related communications.
- To verify your identity for community features, such as confirming you are an approved member when you endorse another member. Your email is matched privately and is never shown publicly.
- To maintain records of consent as required by applicable law.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your submitted information is stored in Airtable (airtable.com), a third-party cloud database service. Data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use Airtable's access controls to limit who can view private fields such as email addresses.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. Please do not submit sensitive information beyond what is requested.
5. No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. This applies to all categories of personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.):
- Right to Know — You may request a description of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete — You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct — You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale — We do not sell personal information. No opt-out is necessary.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

7. California Right of Publicity
By submitting your profile, you grant SVazTech.net a limited, non-exclusive license to display your name, job title, employer, bio, and LinkedIn URL on the svaztech.net website solely for the purpose of the community directory. You may withdraw this consent at any time by requesting removal of your profile.
We will not use your name, likeness, or personal information in paid advertising or commercial promotions without obtaining your separate, explicit written consent.
8. Consent-Based Collection
All profile submissions require you to actively check a consent checkbox confirming that you understand and agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. Your profile will not be submitted without this consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your profile remains in our directory. If your application is rejected, your data is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted. If you request deletion, we will remove your profile and associated data within 30 days.
10. Third-Party Links
Profile cards may link to external LinkedIn profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. Please review LinkedIn's privacy policy independently.
11. Children's Privacy
SVazTech.net is intended for professional adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 16 years of age.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date. Continued use of the directory after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
